the best horror movie I have seen in a while….

one creepy-looking house....

A spectacular retro horror movie where what scares you is not what you see, but what you don’t see…..this picture is a homage to hitchcock, polanski and the horror movies of the 80s.  Honestly, the film looks like it was made in about 1982 and is just startling. How they managed the LOOK of the movie, I just don’t know.

the trailer is here:

It’s basically about a college kid who agrees to act as a babysitter for an old couple out in the country and runs into something along the lines of a satanic cult.

Plus, Dee “The Howling” Wallace makes a cameo appearance and Tom “The Monster Squad” Noonan plays one of the ‘parents’.

I’ll post a full review in the next few days but I mean it when I say that this is the best modern horror movie I have seen in a very long time. Director Ti West gets a big round of applause from hotdogcinema for this, just a shame it took me so long to see it (and for that I feel ashamed).
